Project Goal

The homeowners wanted to completely refresh their home. With outdated finishes like heavy wallpaper, brass fixtures, carpeted bathrooms, and a closed-off kitchen layout, the home felt closed off and visually busy. The goal was to modernize the space, improve flow, and bring more natural light into the main living areas.

Opening the Main Floor

A major part of the remodel involved removing a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and living room, transforming the previously segmented layout into a bright, open-concept gathering space. The new kitchen layout centers around a large island and minimal, clean design in the dining and living areas, creating a space designed for both daily life and entertaining.

Expanding the Living Space

Beyond the main floor, the project also focused on making better use of the basement. The renovation included adding a bedroom and a kitchenette, converting previously underutilized space into a comfortable secondary living area ideal for guests or extended family.
