The Cliff
Renovation
Remodeler/Contractor: Kamanski Construction
Project Goal
Perched above sweeping long-range mountain views, this home had incredible bones but wasn’t fully taking advantage of its greatest asset: the scenery. The clients came to us looking to reconfigure the layout, maximize every view, and refresh the interior and exterior with a modern mountain aesthetic.
Making the Mountain
the Centerpiece
The scope touched nearly every corner of the home. An existing porch was converted into a formal dining room to capture the mountain panorama. The old dining room became a dedicated home office. Walls were moved to open up and enlarge the kitchen. All bathrooms were fully remodeled. The unfinished basement was completed with a new bedroom and bath. To frame the mountain views like a painting, two rear exterior doors were each widened from 14 and 12 feet to 16 feet.
Solving What Others Missed
During demolition in the basement, our team discovered years of hidden mold traced back to improper deck flashing, which had gone undetected. We handled everything without any added stress for the client. We brought in a remediation company to restore all dry rot to its original condition, and worked directly with the insurance company to help cover the cost.
